LEADING AND MANAGING TEAMS

THE ART OF RECEIVING AND GIVING FEEDBACK

90 Minutes

One of the most important workplace communication skills is the ability to receive and give feedback effectively. It is also one of the most challenging. Our goals in this interactive workshop are to diminish the anxiety people feel when faced with the need to give feedback at work, learn effective and repeatable approaches to giving feedback, explore your natural feedback style, including how you receive feedback from others.


PRODUCTIVE CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

60 Minutes

Conflict arises from differences in our values, motivations, perceptions, ideas, or desires. Sometimes these differences look trivial, but when a conflict triggers strong feelings the conflict can disrupt team cohesiveness. In this session, participants will explore conflict management styles and learn problem-solving strategies to find workable resolutions that strengthen relationships, build cohesive teams, and drive results.


DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

60 Minutes

Leaders have to talk through difficult subjects with people. Everyone is programmed to not like hearing them – and not like hearing it in different ways. To be effective, leaders must remove the threat stimulus that causes people to resist these conversations, while still getting their message heard and acted on and, crucially, preserving the relationship.

This training session introduces an approach that allows a supervisor to say exactly what he or she needs to say, in a way that helps motivate and influence the other person.


COACHING FOR RESULTS

Coaching is a critical development tool used by leaders to help employees succeed in their roles and careers. Effective leaders help others think more broadly for themselves. They do this by sharing insightful reflections and asking powerful questions that disrupt and expand people’s minds with the goal to effectively coach for higher performance. When done well and consistently, the rewards and benefits for your employees, organization, and customers are endless. The workshop is designed to explore, build (or refresh) expertise in how to lead as a coach.

TIME MANAGEMENT

“Time management” is the way we decide to utilize our time in order to maximize our productivity in achieving personal and professional goals. We all want to make the most of the 24 hours we get each day and limit the sense of feeling overworked and overwhelmed. With more and more demands for your time, both at work and at home, time management skills are more important than ever — especially if you're a manager. Through interactive activities, participants learn strategies and techniques to manage priorities and recognize and overcome barriers to managing their time successfully.


NEXT LEVEL TEAM AND CLIENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS

This workshop is designed to help participants explore their own communication styles based on the Psycho-Geometrics system created by Susan Dellinger, Ph.D. Using these insights and impactful exercises participants learn to maximize communication and improve work productivity, teamwork, and personal accountability. 


EFFECTIVE INTERVIEWING

60 Minutes

Effective interviewing strategies and techniques give you the ability to make the right hiring decisions and increase the probability of quality hires – avoiding costly mistakes. This workshop is designed to teach competency-based behavioral interviewing, using the recognized principle that past and present behavior is the best predictor of future performance. 


MEETING MAKEOVER

60 Minutes

Studies show that the average person spends about five hours a week in meetings and over four hours preparing for them. In this session, participants will get the step-by-step guidance they need to prepare and lead successful meetings in which participants stay engaged throughout and leave understanding action items.


DISC® WORKPLACE COMMUNICATIONS

90 Minutes

This workshop utilizes the Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness (DiSC®) Workplace online assessment tool and a facilitated workshop to introduce a common language that people can use to better understand themselves and adapt their behaviors with others – within a work team, a leadership position, and other relationships.

Participants complete an online DiSC® assessment tool and will receive their profile report prior to the workshop. Additional fee per participant applies for online assessment and profile report.


POLISHING YOUR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL BRAND

90 Minutes

Personal Branding is how you package yourself and communicate your unique skills and the value you bring. In this fun and practical workshop, we help your team, especially those who might be new to the professional workforce, focus on the key aspects of aligning their personal brand with your company brand.

Like it or not, appearance, your work style, and the use of standard business etiquette are indications to others about the quality of your work. Valuing your personal brand with regard to your professional presence is an indication that you respect yourself and you care about your work; studies have shown that those who know how to use their image as a business tool have an immediate advantage over their competitors with respect to bringing in new business and effectiveness on the job.


SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION

60 Minutes

In addition to the time and expense of a potential complaint, discrimination and harassment can impact the workplace in a negative manner causing lower employee morale, lower productivity, decreased commitment to the company, and decreased motivation. Sexual harassment prevention training helps to foster a safe and productive work environment by educating employees and managers on what is considered sexual harassment and what to do if they experience or witness inappropriate behavior in the workplace.


CREATING A RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE

Our workplaces are a diverse representation of persons who differ in age, gender, education, backgrounds, and experiences, but there is one thing everyone has in common - a desire for a respectful workplace. We often hear the terms respect, diversity, inclusion, and productive conflict, but what do these terms mean and what role do they play in the workplace? This workshop is designed to create awareness and team and organizational accountability and cohesiveness.
